Installation Tips | ||
All our medallions (except the oval two part) come with the medallion itself, and a backing plate. The back of the medallions have bendable metal tabs...
Cut two slits in your material for the metal tabs on the back of the medallion. Slip the tabs through the material. Put the metal plate over the tabs. At this time, you can loop a heavy thread through the metal plate also. Then bend the tabs down over the metal plate. We use a couple LIGHT taps with a hammer to get the tabs bent down nicely.
Once the tabs are bent down, you can tie a knot in the thread you looped through the metal tab. This thread will give you something to pull the medallion from behind with. We use an awl to punch a hole in the seat foam, and feed the thread through the hole in the seat foam.
With a LIGHT pull on the thread, the medallions have a nice "sunk-in" look in your seats. |
